JYVÄSKYLÄ GAA
Jyväskylä GAA is the newest Gaelic Football club in the Nordic region and one of 3 clubs based in Finland.​

The club was set up in 2014, having our first training session on the 8th of March 2014 between a group a friends (Shane McDermott, Fergal Carolan, Peadar Faherty, Diarmuid Camán, Victor Deseille and Przemysław Marek). A few months later long term members Lauri Renvall and Teemu Tikkanen join us at our championship debut in Helsinki at the 3rd round of the 2014 Nordic Championship on the 23rd of August.
Numbers were slow to built up but after less than one year the clubs men's team and the women's team grew considerably. Players from all over the world have taken up the sport here in Jyväskylä. By the time it came to have our first friendly against Oulu GAA on October 18th 2014 we had a squad of 15 men, additional members included Noah Little, Jeremy Hecker, Quentin Labegorre, David Romero DÃaz, Sergey Chernov, Alistair Inglis, Ismael Pedraza and Bene Saalfrank.
Our Ladies team was made up of 7 very enthusiastic players; Kate O'Keeffe, Caroline Gallagher, Rena Kristina Sinnott, Olivia Hewitt, Mirte Lindhout, Marleen Kampinga and Rike Buengeler.
Both teams recorded their first ever wins! Hopefully the future will see an even greater increase in members and success.
